We've been making this recipe forever and now we don't even know where we got it from (or if we made it up!). We have just made it less sweet nowadays. And it's perfect because it's easy, quick to make and so delicious! This is one of our daughter's favorite chocolate dessert so it's a nice recipe for adults and kids to enjoy!
Ingredients
For this easy chocolate mousse you'll need:
- semi sweet chocolate
- table cream (you can substitute it for heavy cream but instructions will change a little)
- sweetened condensed milk
How to make it
- You will start by by breaking the chocolate into chunks and then melt it in the microwave - 30 seconds at a time so you don't burn it.
- Combine the melted chocolate and the table cream.
- Add the sweetened condensed milk to the mixture (start with 1/2 cup of condensed milk and add more according to your taste).
- Option 1: For a pudding like texture you just have to mix well all ingredients, place the mousse in a nice bowl or dish and chill it for at least one hour.
- Option 2: For an airy texture mix well all the ingredients, place the mousse in the freezer for 10 minutes. With a mixer, mix until mousse is airy. Place it in a nice bowl or dish.
