There are not many ways to have an overripe banana, right? It starts to taste too sweet, and it is kind of too soft. Making some muffins might be a good idea, but when we came up with this recipe, we wanted to have something simple.

Perhaps a milkshake? We did not have any vanilla ice cream at home. So no. But we had just made some dulce de leche and thought, why not?

Mixing those bananas with milk, ice and some dulce de leche turned out great. So much that now we always let some bananas get a little overripe just to make this smoothie!

📋 Ingredients

To make this dulce de leche banana smoothie recipe you will need the following ingredients (see recipe for amounts):

  • milk
  • bananas (preferably frozen, if not, add some ice to the recipe)
  • dulce de leche

🍳 How to make it

Smoothies in general are very easy to make, and this recipe is no exception!

  • Combine the ingredients in a blender.
  • Blend at high speed until smooth.
  • Serve.

NOTE: If the bananas are too ripe, using a whole tablespoon of dulce de leche might turn the smoothie a little too sweet, that's why I recommend starting with 1/2 tablespoon and adding more until you reach that perfect balance!
