3 Places You Have to Visit in Los Angeles

Published: Aug 19, 2016 · Modified: May 20, 2020 by Andrea - 4 Comments

There are so many things to do in Los Angeles and if you don't have much time you have to choose very carefully what to do. Here is my suggestion of 3 places you have visit in Los Angeles!

Jump to:
  • Getty Center
  • The Broad Museum
  • Griffith Observatory

Getty Center

The Getty Center is a cultural complex that features pre-20th-century European paintings, drawings, illuminated manuscripts, sculpture, and decorative arts, 19th- and 20th-century American, Asian, and European photographs. Not only that, the architecture of the buildings are beautiful, the gardens are amazing and the outdoors will also provide you with a great view of LA. And all of this, for free! You just have to pay for parking, if you are driving, of course. For more info, click here.

The Broad Museum

The Broad opened in September 2015 and it is a contemporary art museum on Grand Avenue in downtown Los Angeles. The museum offers free general admission and is home to the 2,000 works of art. We just loved it! Click here for more information.

You'll also be right next to the Walt Disney Concert Hall. The building is just amazing!

Griffith Observatory

"Griffith Observatory is an icon of Los Angeles, a national leader in public astronomy, a beloved civic gathering place, and one of southern California's most popular attractions. The Observatory is located on the southern slope of Mount Hollywood in Griffith Park, just above the Los Feliz neighborhood. The Observatory is the best vantage point for observing the world-famous Hollywood Sign." (Griffith Observatory website)

The admission is free! You only have to pay for shows, which we did and recommend. In the evening, when the skies are clear, they offer free telescope viewing. We saw the moon like it was just in front of us!The view from LA is also fantastic!

You should definitely include these 3 places on your next vist to Los Angeles. I'm sure you'll love them all!
