Rae's Restaurant

Going to Rae's Restaurant is like you are traveling in time. It was open in 1958, and we think not much has changed since then - including the prices! Rae's Restaurant is a typical diner from the 50's and food is great, (we had breakfast there). It's definitely my number 1 recommendation!

Souplantation

Souplantation (in locations out of Southern California the restaurant is called Sweet Tomatoes) is our favorite restaurant in the US, so we couldn't miss the opportunity of eating there. Lots of salads, soups, pastas and delicious bakery treats, like muffins and focaccia!

*Unfortunately Souplantation closed permantely in May 2020, due to the implications of the COVID-19 virus.

Grand Central Market

We found out about the Grand Central Market on a Tastemade show called Off Menu and we immediately knew we had to go there. We ate at EggSlut, a restaurant that serves eggs in every dish. It was amazing! But at the Grand Central Market you can find a variety of options, like Japanese, Chinese, Vietnamese food and more.

LA Farmers Market

The LA Farmers Market is another place with lots of options, but we chose Loteria Grill and shared some nachos. A huge dish that was good enough for 3 people!

Dream Korean BBQ

My cousin, who lives in Santa Barbara, is always in LA and he took us to this Korean restaurant called Dream Korean BBQ, in Koreatown. Salads and Korean barbecue made our day 🙂 It was a great and different meal, on a budget!

How about you? Do you have restaurants to recommend in LA?
