We love this Homemade Thousand Island dressing recipe here at home. Of course we make it for salads, but we also make for another recipe we love: Patty Melt! This dressing is so easy to make, you'll probably stop using the ones from the grocery store.

- mayonnaise
- ketchup
- sweet relish (last time we made this recipe we used our delicious Swedish Pickles instead of relish)
- white wine vinegar
- salt
- pepper
🍳 How to make it
It couldn't be any easier to make Thousand Island Dressing at home! You just have to place ingredients in a bowl and mix them. Yes, that's it!
Then transfer to a glass jar (or container with a lid) and keep refrigerated.
⌛ How long will this dressing last?
You can keep it in the fridge for up to a week.
🤔 Why is it better then store bought
Well, because it has no any added artificial flavors and preservatives - no more than the ingredients already have!
And you can tweak it to your liking: more ketchup, more relish and even adding some mustard if you want to!
💭 Where to use it
You can use this dressing for salads, of course, but it is fantastic as a substitute for mayonnaise in burgers and sandwiches. It it perfect for a patty melt.
You can also serve it as a dip for crudités.

Thousand Island Dressing
Ingredients
- 3/4 cup mayonnaise
- 3 tbsp ketchup
- 1 tbsp sweet relish
- 1 tbsp white wine vinegar
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Add ingredients to a bowl.
- Mix well.
- Transfer to glass jar or container with lid and keep refrigerated until ready to use.
