Geisers del Tatio in the Atacama Desert is among the highest-elevation geyser fields in the world. It has over 80 active geysers, making it the largest geyser field in the southern hemisphere and the third largest in the world. So you don’t wanna miss this adventure, right?
Just know that you have to go at sunrise otherwise you won’t see anything. So be ready to wake up really early 🙂
It was one of Isabella’s favorite experiences in the desert so I highly recommend you take your kids. Of course they may feel the altitude, so this is a good tour for your last day in the desert and everybody is used to the high altitudes.
This is definitely a must do experience when you visit the Atacama Desert.
Planning a trip?
If you are planning a trip, here at Travel Cook Tell I have many travel tips about places we have visited. Also, you can make hotel reservations through Booking.com, order sim cards from Travelmobile to use your cell phone abroad (and not pay for those horrendous roaming charges) as well as get travel insurance from WorldNomads – they offer great plans. None of this will cost any extra to you, but it will turn into a little commission for the blog.
This post contains affiliate links. Every time you order a service or stay at a hotel through one of these links, I will get a small comission, and it won’t cost you a thing.
