This Healthy Mock Hollandaise Sauce is a delicious (and much healthier) alternative to the real one!
We make Eggs Benedict very often so we had to come up with a healthier option of the hollandaise sauce - and, let's admit, an easier one as well!
This one is, in our opinion, a great substitute to the traditional sauce - plus, it has much less calories than the real one, but it keeps its texture. And the taste is quite similar!

😍 3 reasons to love this mock version
- The taste is similar to the traditional sauce, but it's much healthier since there is no fat in it! When we used to make the classic Hollandaise sauce recipe we would freak out over the amount of butter (and eggs) needed to make it.
Plus, we never got the consistency right! Instead of that smooth creamy sauce we would end up with lumps of egg separated from the butter. This does not happen to this recipe!
- It's very easy to make. Just mix all the ingredients in a pan, put it over low heat and stir until it thickens.
- It's ready in less than 10 minutes, adding to this the time to get the ingredients from the fridge and pantry.
📋 Ingredients
For this sauce you will need:
- greek yogurt
- turmeric
- corn starch
- lime juice
- salt
🍳 How to make this sauce?
This recipe is so easy to make, you just need to mix all ingredients in a saucepan and, over low heat, cook stirring constantly until thick, for aproximately 5 minutes.
We tried to make it on the microwave, but the texture was kind of funny, so we would not recommend it. But, if you insist, just microwave it on high in 1 minute intervals, stirring between them until thick.
