These Banana Ghosts are a quick, easy and healthy Halloween recipe! Learn here how to make them!
How not to love these adorable little ghosts 🙂 Even if you don't make a Halloween party I think you should make them. They are great for a snack or desert and I'm sure they will please kids and adults!
Ingredients
- bananas
- white chocolate
- small chocolate chips
- popsicle sticks or wooden skewers
How to make
- Peel each banana, cut in half, then slice each half lengthways. Insert popsicle sticks or wooden skewers into bananas and freeze them for around 15 minutes.
- Melt the white chocolate (here at home we do it in the microwave oven by placing the chocolate in a small bowl and putting 30 seconds at a time until chocolate is completely melted).
- Dip one banana at a time into the melted white chocolate. Remove excess chocolate and quickly add the chocolate chips for the eyes before the chocolate hardens.
Some tips to make Banana Ghosts
- If you don't have small chocolate chips you could make your own. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper, melt some dark chocalate, place it in a pipping bag and using a small tip, make the chips.
- Put the bananas in the freezer for around 15 minutes after you cut them and insert the popsicle sticks/wooden skewers. It will make it easier to work with the bananas.
- I prefer to eat them at room temperature, but if you prefer your Banana Ghosts frozen, you can place them in the freezer when they are done.
