Here you will find some general and useful information for your visit to Disneyland Paris!
First of all, Disneyland Paris is not called EuroDisney anymore. Do you know why? The complex had a hard beggining, with only a few guests, and they believed one of the reasons was its name. French citizens (especially Parisians) didn't feel like this name made them a part of it. Another reason was that including the name Paris would sound more appealing to the general public. And they were right!
But now, let's see some useful info!
- The resort has 2 parks:
Disneyland Park (Parc Disneyland), where you will find the Sleeping Beauty Castle and attractions like Pirates of the Caribbean, Big Thunder Mountain and It's a Small World. It's divided into lands: Discoveryland, Fantasyland, Adventureland, Frontierland and Main Street USA. It's very similar to Magic Kingdom in Orlando and Disneyland in Anaheim. For more information click here.
Walt Disney Studios Park (Parc Walt Disney Studios) reminded us of Disneys' Hollywood Studios in Orlando, with attractions like The Twilight Zone Tower of Terror and Rock ’n’ Roller Coaster. For more information click here.
- You will also find the Disney Village, similar to Downtown Disney.
- The resort has 7 hotels and the most famous is Disneyland Hotel, right by the Disneyland Park entrance.
- If you are coming from Paris take the RER A (red - line A4) in direction Marne la Vallée-Chessy. The ride will take around 45 minutes. But pay attention: not all RER A will take you to Disney. Marne la Valée-Chessy must be written on the train!
A tip: If you will also use RER on your way back, buy your return ticket as soon as you arrive at Disney. This will save you a long time at the end of the day when everybody will be doing the same thing: buying return tickets!
- And, last but not least: Is it possible to visit both parks in one day? That's what we did and you can check our visit here and here!

Great post! I 100% agree with you that you should purchase your return metro ticket as soon as you get to the parks. It is ridiculous how long the queue to purchase tickets is at the end of the night. It is such a time saver when you're exhausted at the end of a Disney day.
