Fall in love with this Cornmeal Bundt Cake with Dulce de Leche Sauce recipe. It's very easy to make and the taste is just amazing!
We've had the bundt cake pan used in this recipe for a while and we were never able to unmold a cake that wouldn't stick on the pan. But we gave the pan a last chance with a technique we had learned and YES, we got the perfect Cornmeal Bundt Cake! To unmold the cake easily we greased the pan with butter and put it in the fridge for a few minutes. It worked like magic!
Now about this cake. Cornmeal cakes are popular in Brazil so I needed to share this recipe with you for 3 reasons: 1) this cake is amazing 2) I love sharing Brazilian classics so you can learn and taste different recipes and 3) I'm completely in love with dulce de leche, so I think everything tastes good with it 🙂

Homemade Dulce de Leche - oven method
Ingredients
For pan:
- butter
Batter:
- eggs
- milk
- vegetable oil
- medium grind cornmeal
- all-purpose flour
- sugar
- baking powder
Sauce:
- dulce de leche
- heavy cream
How to make
- Preheat oven to 350F/180C.
- Grease a bundt cake with butter and put it in the fridge for around 10 minutes.
- In a bowl add all ingredients and mix well.
- Pour batter in prepared bundt cake and bake for around 30-40 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the cake comes out clean.
- Remove from oven and let cake cool completely before removing from pan.
Sauce
- In a glass bowl mix dulce de leche and heavy cream. Microwave mixture for 30 seconds. Stir and pour on top of cake.
It looks amazing, doesn't it? And believe me, it tastes as good as it looks!

- 1 cup medium grind cornmeal
