I'll go straight to the point and show you some Chicago travel tips for your visit to this amazing city!

Chicago Travel Tips

Places to Visit

Magnificent Mile

You will love to walk around this section of Michigan Avenue. And a perfect end to this stroll is a boat or water taxi ride on Chicago River.

Millenium Park and the Cloud Gate

Millenium Park is a must by itself, but there you will find The Cloud Gate, also called The Bean. I wasn’t expecting much from it but this sculpture is really amazing.

Grant Park and Buckingham Fountain

At Grand Park you will definitely love the Buckingham Fountain, right in the center of the park. It is one of the largest fountains in the world and it was inspired by the Latona Fountain at the Palace of Versailles in France.

Field Museum

It is one of the world’s great museums of science, environment and culture. It holds more than 20 million objects from ancient mummies to endangered plants and animals.

Museum of Science and Industry

One of the largest science museums in the world, it is home to more than 35,000 artifacts and nearly 14 acres of hands-on exhibits designed to spark scientific inquiry and creativity.

Willi’s Tower Skydeck

Chicago has a breathtaking skyline and part of it is because the tall buildings contrast with historic constructions. And the Willi’s Tower Skydeck is definitely worth the visit. Don’t miss the Ledge, a glass box  extend out 4.3 feet from the skyscraper’s Skydeck on the 103rd floor. Are you brave enough to venture on it?

Old Town

This historic neighborhood is so pretty! It's full of Victorian-era buildings, brick alleyways and narrow and tree-lined streets. We think it's a must place to take a walk.

Places to Eat

I know that there are so many other places to eat, but this is what we tried and liked very much!

Yolk

Great breakfast, nice and friendly atmosphere and with many locations to choose from.

Foodlife

This places takes food court food to a higher level! Foodlife is located at Water Tower Place, very close to John Hancock building and the Water Tower and there you will find 14 different cuisines: breakfast, barbecue, chinese, comfort, desserts, sausages, juices, pasta, salads, soups, stir-fry, sushi, taqueria and wines. So it should definitely please everybody's taste 🙂

Foodease

This is where we bought to-go food a few times. Lots of options and great flavor.

MBurguer

We loved their burger, simple but so tasty!

Giordano's

We haven't tried this place in Chicago (we went to the one in Orlando) but we just love their deep dish pizza.

Wow Bao

These chinese buns are highly addictive! We even got some to eat at the hotel 🙂

Places to Stay

Raffaello – that's where we stayed. Great option in the Magnificent Mile region (it's right next to John Hancock Center). Room is very comfortable and you just can't beat the location.

Other great options in this region are Sofitel Chicago Magnificent Mile  and Hyatt Centric Chicago Magnificent Mile.
