We have tried many different pancake recipes but this one has always been our favorite! See here how to make the best homemade pancakes ever! And they are so easy to make!
I believe that most American families have their favorite pancake recipe! We are Brazilians (and live in Brazil) but we also have our favorite recipe 🙂 And in our opinion, this is the best ever!
When I was 17 years old (a very looooong time ago!) I studied English for a few months in Santa Barbara, California and my teacher gave to all her students a copy of a pancake recipe. At that time I just put it somewhere with the rest of the class material.
Thankfully I didn't throw it away, because that is the recipe we use to make our pancakes from scratch. We have tried other recipes, but this one has always been the best.
Occasionally we do find pancake mix at the supermarket, but the imported ones are expensive and the ones made in Brazil are not good.
Since homemade pancakes are much better, and the recipe calls for simple ingredients, we wonder why someone would make pancakes from a box 🤷
And you are probably thinking how we find maple syrup down here. Well, since no pancakes should be eaten without syrup we actually bring one or two containers of syrup home every time we go to the USA!
In some supermarkets you can find maple syrup, but that thing costs as much as gold here! Ok, I might be exaggerating, but for you to have an idea, it would be something from 60 to 100 dollars for an 8oz jar of maple syrup (not converting the currency, but an estimate of the value).
Well, back to the recipe. As you will see these homemade pancakes are very simple and they turn out perfect!
Since breakfast is our favorite meal, no wonder we had to have the best pancake recipe!
Best Homemade Pancakes - from scratch

These pancakes look absolutely GORGEOUS! I might be good at cooking lots of things, but pancakes are somehow not one of them at all. 🙂 I always end up burning mine or making them tough and rubbery. I'll definitely try your recipe next, it looks so easy and delicious!
