Travel Cook Tell in Scandinavia

roteiro escandinávia

Bergen, Oslo, Stockholm and Copenhagen

A trip to Scandinavia was in our bucket list for a long time. So when we saw we could issue tickets with our frequent flyer points exactly during Isabella’s winter vacation (remember, I live in Brazil, school’s winter vacation is in July) we didn’t think twice.

Here is our itinerary just to give you an idea of what we did.

Day 1 – We arrived in Bergen, Norway in the evening, after 3 flights (Porto Alegre – Rio de Janeiro – London – Bergen). In Bergen we stayed at Scandic Ornen Hotel  (highly recommended).

Day 2 – Bergen – A walk around town in the morning and the Mostraumen Fjord Tour in the afternoon (so beautiful).

Day 3 – Bergen – Sognefjord in a Nutshell tour (whole day) + Bryggen and Floyen in the evening.

Day 4 – Bergen – Oslo, Norway (by train) – We arrived in Oslo in the afternoon but still did a lot. We visited Karl Johans Gate, The Royal Palace, Vigeland Park, Grunnerloka and Mathallen. We stayed at Scandic Byporten Hotel (room was small, but everyhting else was great).

We arrived in Stockholm in the evening and stayed at Scandic Malmen Hotel (nice room, great location).

Day 8 – Stockholm- In the morning we explored Södermalm and in the afternoon we took the train to Copenhagen (Denmark). We arrive in Copenhagen in the evening and stayed at Absalon Hotel (not a great neighborhood, but very close to the train station and Tivoli Park, that we visited every single day of our stay).

Day 9 – Copenhagen – We visited the Round Tower, Rosendal Slott, Amalinborg, The Opera House, Copenhagen Street Food, Nyhavn and Tivoli.
