Ingredients
3.5oz(100g)unsalted buttermelted
1/4cup plus 2 tbsp granulated sugar
1/4 cup plus 2 tbsp brown sugar
1/2tsp vanilla extract
1egg
1cup plus 2 tbsp all-purpose flour
1/4tsp baking soda
1/4tsp baking powder
1/4 tsp salt
3.5oz(100g) semi sweet chocolate cut into chunks (you can use chocolate chips if you prefer)
Instructions
Preheat oven to 350F (180C). Line baking sheets with nonstick baking mats or parchment paper.
In the bowl of an electric mixer beat the melted butter, sugar and brown sugar until creamy. Add egg and vanilla. Beat well to combine. Add half the flour and mix. Add baking powder, baking soda and salt and mix well. Add remaining flour gradually. Stir in the chocolate chunks (or chocolate chips).
With the help of a small ice cream scoop, place dough onto prepared baking sheets. Bake for around 12 minutes, or until cookies are lightly golden brown. Cool for a few minutes and transfer to wire racks to cool completely.
Notes
If you prefer your cookies loaded with chocolate chunks, you should add more chocolate, about 1.7oz (50g).
