When we went to Disney for the fisrt time Isabella was 2 years old. We heard a lot of people saying that it wouldn’t be worth the money and that we should wait until she got older. Well, our trip was amazing, she loved meeting the characters, had a lot of fun in all rides and attractions that were suitable for her age and we, the parents, just loved seeing our little girl enjoying this magical world.
Two years later we went to Disneyland in California. She was 4 and the magic was still there. Isabella loved seeing her friends again and she was able to enjoy rides that she couldn’t on our previous trip.
In June 2013 we went to Disney in Paris and for our surprise, Isabella still believed the characters were real. This time she asked us: “How come is Mickey here and in the other parks?” We said that we had arranged our trip according to Mickey’s schedule and she bought it 🙂 And at this time she was able to enjoy some of the thrill rides. But on the other hand, she was scared of Pirates of the Caribbean that she loved when she was 2.
Last month we went to Orlando and we had a wonderful time. Isabella rode her favorite ride (Rock and Roller Coaster) twice and faced her fear and we went to Pirates of the Caribbean and she loved it again 🙂
So, what’s the best age to take your kids to Disney? All ages!
Each age has a different emotion and a different appeal. But one thing that we always say is: if possible, take your kids while they still believe in all the magic. Isabella’s face when she met her friends is something we will never forget!
