I’ve already told you about my family’s favorite part of Santiago, Chile. Today I’m gonna tell you a little about our favorite neighboorhood in Buenos Aires.
Again, it’s not a whole neighborhood, but part of it, the region around Plaza Vicente Lopez on Recoleta.
We always try to stay in this area (or as near as possible) so we can go walking to this very nice square, with a great playground for children of all ages. Isabella loves it!
To have an idea of where exactly this is, take a look here.
But why do we like this area so much?
There are very good hotels (we have stayed at Marseille des Anges, just one block from the plaza), nice cafés such as Nucha, good restaurants, Carrefour Express, perfect for water and snacks, or even a light dinner in the hotel room. You will also find beautiful flower stands and stores – we love Perfumum Bue, with amazing body, bath and home fragrances.
And of course, Vicente Lopez square. So full of trees, benches, a nice grass (no dogs allowed) and 2 very nice playgrounds. Both are fenced which is perfect because you know your kids will not run away 🙂 One is for little kids and the other is for older children.
At night the square is closed, but it’s still nice to walk around.
Next time we go to Buenos Aires we know exactly where we are staying… again 🙂
